Generating an AI-Assisted Report

Once a client completes their assessment, you're a few clicks away from a structured draft report. Here's how to generate it, what to expect, and how to work with the output.

What you'll learn

  • Trigger report generation from the client profile page
  • Understand the report structure and section breakdown
  • Edit sections and regenerate where needed
  • Export as PDF or use the CIM generator (Professional/Agency)

Step-by-step guide

01

Trigger generation from the client page

Navigate to the client whose assessment is marked Completed or Scored. You'll see a Generate Report button on the client detail page. Click it — the system will start processing.

Generation typically takes 2–5 minutes. You'll see a progress indicator on the report page as sections are built. Don't close the tab; if you do, the generation continues in the background and you can return to the report page when it's done.

Each report generation counts against your monthly quota. Starter plans get 2 reports/month, Professional gets 10, Agency gets 50. Check your remaining quota in Settings before generating.

02

What the report contains

The generated report is structured into sections, each covering a different aspect of exit readiness. Common sections include an executive summary, dimension-by-dimension analysis, risk flags, and advisory recommendations.

At the top of the report page you'll see two visual components if you're on Professional or Agency: the Readiness Radar Chart (a spider chart showing scores across each dimension) and the Synergy Radar (a strategic buyer mapping tool).

03

Editing sections

Every section can be edited inline. Click Edit on any section to open a text editor. Your changes are saved as a new version — the original AI draft stays intact and can be restored at any time.

In practice, you'll probably only need to touch 2-3 sections per report. The AI gets the structure right; the parts that need work are usually the ones where the client gave vague answers, or where you want to add your own read on the market. Version history makes it safe to experiment — if an edit makes things worse, roll it back.

The edit view uses plain text, not a rich text editor. Formatting is supported via Markdown (headers with #, bold with **, lists with -).

04

Regenerating the report

If the first draft misses the mark significantly, you can regenerate the full report. This consumes another report credit from your monthly quota.

For smaller issues, it's usually faster to edit the specific section rather than regenerating everything. Regeneration is most useful when the client has updated their answers or when you've significantly changed your Persona Tuning settings.

05

Exporting as PDF

The Export PDF button generates a formatted PDF version of the current report state. The PDF reflects any edits you've made. If your branding is set up in Settings (logo, brand color, disclaimer), it will appear in the PDF header and footer.

On Professional and Agency plans, the Auto-CIM button generates a longer-form Confidential Information Memorandum from the same assessment data. This is a separate document from the standard report.
